Our History
With the opening of his first hotels in Mykonos, Mr. George P. Daktylides, a very active and innovative personality (a pioneer in the hospitality industry of the island), founded the Myconian Collection Hotels & Resorts in 1979.
Following the completion of the Myconian Ambassador, Mr. George P. Daktylides committed himself to another extensive 9 (compared to the size of the island). In 2002 the opening of the Royal Myconian and the Myconian Imperial Hotel came into reality. Although both hotels have identical buildings they're located on different levels of the cliff at Elia Beach, and present unique architectural designs, culinary approach and accommodation facilities.
Set among traditional cube shaped whitewashed buildings, Myconian Imperial Hotel features luxurious and spacious rooms & suites, high-end amenities, a unique Thalasso Spa center, and a conference facility of the highest standards for high-end meetings & incentives. Our respect to the authentic Myconian style is well balanced with the luxury touch and exclusive design of the Myconian Imperial Hotel.
